Xiaomi Mi 6 Unveiled in China: SD 835, 6GB RAM and more
Today Xiaomi has unveiled it’s latest flagship device Mi 6 in Beijing, China. It’s the first Chinese smartphone to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835. This processor is based on the cutting edge 10nm processor, that’s smaller, faster, more efficient and has less power consumption.
Xiaomi Mi 6 has four-sided 3D glass which provides more rounded corners and it’s made from stainless steel, which gives a beautiful high-gloss outline. It is precisely crafted like a watch, which provides device a simple and clean look. Mi 6 sports a 5.15″ inch IPS LCD display with (1080 x 1920) resolution. It’s a display with eye care technology which reduce the anti-glare lights and meant to retain true colors.
Mi 6 also features a 2.2 dual WiFi technology which allows for better and wider connectivity. It is the first 5.15″ phone with dual camera featuring a 12MP wide angle + 12MP telephoto camera that allows you to have 2x lossless zoom. Whereas, front camera is a 8MP shooter with smart beautify feature. Mi 6 is a splash-resistant device, with the SIM tray also being sealed against splashes. It is backed by 6GB of RAM and has 64GB / 128GB storage option. It packs a 3350mAh battery coupled with MIUI optimizations which is meant to provide one day of usage easily.
Mi 6 also features stereo speakers but ditches the headphone jack. The fingerprint scanner is embedded under the home button on the front. There is also a special edition of Mi 6 which has ceramic body and has 18k gold camera rims. Mi 6 runs on latest version of Android Nougat 7.1.1 along with MIUI 8. It will be launched in China on April 27 and cost CNY2,499 (US $360) for base 64GB variant and CNY2,899 (US $420) for 128GB variant. The device with ceramic body and 18k gold rims is priced at CNY2,999 (US $435).
