5 Things To Know About New iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus
Apple has announced yet another release of their latest product iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus with more improved features. On the surface, two devices doesn’t look much different from the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus, with the same 4.7 and 5.5 inch screen sizes and the same dimensions, but there are few visual differences.
There is no physical Home button on the iPhone 7, as it has been replaced by a “solid-state” pressure sensitive button. A new display is 25 percent brighter and supports wide color gamut for richer, true-to-life colors.
Inside, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus use an A10 Fusion processor, which is 40 percent faster than the processor in the iPhone 6s. It features two high-performance cores for system intensive tasks and two high-efficiency cores that operate at 1/5 the power to save battery life for smaller tasks. Also this time the new iPhones will come in 5 different color options: Rose Gold, Silver, Gold, Black and Jet Black.
Here are five things you need to know about the new iPhones, and trust us, there’s a lot of interesting changes.
1) Water resistance design and durability:
Both the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are (finally!) water- and dust-resistant (IP67), meaning you’re free to get them wet without worry. That means you’ll be able to take either of them underwater for about 30 minutes, up to 1 meter deep. But Apple has clearly mentioned that water damages on iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus won’t cover under the warranty. So before dipping your new expensive iPhone under the water think twice.
2) More processing power:
Apart from the new high-gloss finish and water-resistant rating, there are several other major changes under the hood of the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus utilize Apple’s most powerful processor ever — the A10 Fusion. It’s a 64-bit quad-core processor that’s 40 percent faster than the A9 in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Apple says it’s 120 times faster than the original iPhone. Apple hasn’t talked about the RAM during the launch event of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus like always but recent teardowns unveiled that iPhone 7 has 2GB RAM whereas iPhone 7 Plus has 3GB RAM.
3) Dual cameras:
The iPhone 7 has a spectacular camera, or so the company says. But you’ll have to shell a little more money for the 5.5-inch variant for an even better one. The iPhone 7 Plus is the first iPhone with the dual-camera system. iPhone 7 Plus comes with dual 12MP rear camera, one comes with wide-angle lens with f1.8 aperture and the other comes with telephoto lens with f2.8 aperture. The real concept behind dual camera lens on the new iPhone 7 Plus is to get wide shots from the wide-angle lens whereas the other telephoto lens will help to get nice “Bokeh” effect in close-up shots.
4) No 3.5mm headphone jack:
Now this might be the most criticized thing about the new iPhones on the internet as soon as Apple announced that new iPhones will not have 3.5mm headphone jack. Apple is including a pair of headphones with lightning connector and a 3.5mm headphone jack adaptor in the box. But you can’t listen to the music with the headphones that comes in box while charging your new iPhone. If you want to listen to the music while charging your new iPhone then you have to use wireless headphones or newly announced Apple Airpods, which is priced at $159 only. Both new iPhones also utilize stereo speakers — both at the top and bottom of the devices — and Apple says they feature “increased dynamic range.” However, those speakers are exactly where the headphone jack used to be.
5) Availability and price of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in Nepal:

No matter how people are criticizing about Apple ditching 3.5mm headphone jack or not coming up with a new design or the high price tag, the new iPhones are already sold out on the first day of pre-orders in many countries. However the craziness we used to see in the past during the new iPhone launch day is slowly fading away every year.
