A few weeks ago we covered AMD’s GPUs coming on Samsung Smartphones, do check that article if you have not done yet. Now, we got a leak spotting AMD’s upcoming Ryzen C7 mobile chipset. AMD recently launched their Ryzen-series processor for laptops and they were kinda praised for what they offer for their price. With their success now it seems that the company is getting ready for launching their Smartphone SoC.

As per the recent reports, AMD is working on Ryzen C7, which looking at the leaked specs that look like a flagship SoC that includes two Gaugin Pro cores based on ARM’s Cortex X1 Cores running at 3GHz. While talking about the other six cores, two are based on Cortex A78 clocked at 2.6GHz, and four power-efficient A55 cores are clocked at 2.0GHz each.

Looking at this leaked image from /leaks we could confirm that the SoC is equipped with an RDNA-based solution for GPU duties which was developed after the AMD and Samsung’s partnership last year. Through these leaks, it also says that AMD’s GPU solution is 45 present faster than Adreno 650 which is currently used in Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. The chips also support a 2K display with 144Hz and an LPDDR5 RAM. The Chipset is built under 5nm FinFET technology by TSMC, the world’s leading SoC manufacturer. It also comes with 5G support with the integration of MediaTek 5G UltraSave Modem.

As the leaked image above has several misspells and mistakes in branding of names, it’s likely to be fake. So we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt. If it turns out to be true then it will be a healthy competition between all SoC manufacturers like Qualcomm and MediaTek. If this information proves to be true then Android could give a tough competition to Apple in the performance department too.
