Since the launch of Android 7.0 Nougat, it’s been a hot topic for each and every android user. Many smartphone companies (Samsung, LG, Xiaomi, etc) has already released beta and alpha update of Nougat for some of their devices. Likewise, OnePlus has promised that they will be releasing the first beta update of Android 7.0 for OnePlus 3 until the end of November. OnePlus did as said and released the OxygenOS Open Beta 8 based on Nougat for OnePlus 3.
The features of Android 7.0 Nougat have been implemented such as new notifications and Settings menu design, multi-window view, direct replies from notifications, and built-in support for custom DPIs. Besides that OnePlus has added its own features like status bar icon options, quick launch for third-party apps, and improved Shelf customization.

Since it’s the first beta update it includes many bugs and compatibility issues. OnePlus notes that Android pay may not work perfectly as it used to be, whereas performance and compatibility issues are also there and downgrading to earlier M build is also blocked.
It’s been the great news for the OnePlus 3 users who waited for Android Nougat. As of now, only beta testers are getting the taste of Android 7.0 on their OnePlus 3 and link to download Beta ROM has been disabled already.
