Apple M2 Chipset CPU Benchmarks Leaked


Apple had recently announced the new M2 MacBook Air at the WWDC event which was one of the main highlights. Alongside the announcement of the new M2 MacBook Air. Apple also announced the MacBook Pro 13 Inches. Whereas after just a few weeks from the announcement of the new M2 Chipset. Apple’s M2 Chipset benchmarks is been leaked online. In this article, we will talk about the leaked CPU benchmarks of the M2 Chip in detail in comparison to the previous M1 Chipset.

Talking about the M2 Chipset it was announced on June 6, 2022. Where we saw this chipset in the New MacBook Air M2 and MacBook M2 Pro 13. The M2 Chipset is 18% faster than the previous predecessor M1 Chipset as claimed by Apple.

According to the leak of the M2 Chipset benchmarks, we can confirm. That the new M2 Chip is up to 20% faster than the previous M1 chip when it comes to multi-core performance. Which was discovered on Geekbench from the upcoming 13 Inches MacBook Pro.

M2 chip benchmark

Comparing the M2 chipset which runs at 3.49 GHz. In contrast to the previous M1 chipset that runs on 3.2 GHz. The M2 earned a single-core score of 1919 which is around 12% faster than the M1 13-inch MacBook Pro from the previous year. Whereas the M2 chipset scores 8928 in the multicore benchmarks. That is around 20% faster than the multicore performance of the M1 model from the 7419 scores.

Furthermore, in the Metal benchmark of the M2 Chipset, it scores around 30627. That is a notable improvement over the 21001 scores earned by the M1. Moreover, the M2 Chipset offers up to 10 core GPU in comparison to the maximum of 8-core GPU in the M1 Chipset.

As per the official announcement the M2 chip is currently available in the new 2022 MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Pro. Whereas there’s no rumor on the other device that maybe feature M2 Chipset. As of now, Apple has not provided information on when the MacBook Air will be Launched. But the New MacBook Pro will be up for pre-order starting from Friday, June 17.
