CG iWear is the first wearable device from CG which comes with 1.4inch LCD display with the resolution of 128×128 pixels, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity and 350mAh battery. CG iWear support both android and iOS devices but sadly there is no support for windows phone.
Build quality of CG iWear feels good but I’m not impressed with the big black bezels all around the screen. There is no mention about any short of protection on screen or IP rating for dust and water on the box pack but CG employee confirmed that CG iWatch can handle normal water splash and rain but didn’t recommend to submerge under the water. CG iWatch comes with adjustable leather strips which is not made of high quality leather but it does its job. CG iWatch is available in Brown silver, black silver, Red gold, Black gold and Black dark grey color option but I got sliver white color for review.
CG iWear comes with pedometer sensor which will count your footsteps while walking or running. Once you install the app on your android or iOS device, you will able make calls, get notifications, listen music, control camera and more.
Mr. Ramesh Shrestha, Business Unit Head for CG Mobiles said“CG iWear is targeted to youth who are fitness freak and tech savvy, who loves to be social and fit or socially fit”
I’m using it for more than a day and so far I’m very impressed with CG iWear but that doesn’t mean it is a perfect device. Here is the list about what I like and didn’t like after using CG iWear for a day.
Able to make/receive calls
Anti lost function
Camera control function
Screen resolution and sunlight visibility
Not able to reply back SMS
I wish CG had launched the same device what we see on the package box. But if you are okay with the design and Screen then you can give it a try. And looking at the price tag we can’t complain much here. You get what you pay for. If you want to buy CG iWatch then go through this link: http://goo.gl/cxwuFI
