Daraz, Nepal’s best online shopping platform, recently held an event – “Seller Summit” at Hotel Yak and Yeti. The event was dedicated to all the sellers registered with Daraz, to provide them with an opportunity to learn and discover a more successful path by introducing them to their new upgraded system. The new system Daraz introduced in the event was developed in a joint venture with Alibaba, the Chinese e-commerce giant. The event was made successful by the presence of more than 650 sellers.
The new upgraded Seller back-end system which was defined by Mr. Bjarke Mikkelsen (CEO of Daraz Group) as a 3 step-approach to develop seller engagement and better customer care. According to him, the first step is a Revamped Strategy– where Daraz will give tools to the sellers that will enable them to make their own campaign and directly interact with customers. The second approach includes Tools– which will be provided to sellers by Daraz and will perform control and quality service through a dynamic performance management system. The terminating approach is Business Process which ensures that the system is seamless and foolproof. This new system will be live and functioning from the 29th of September and has the ambition to change the whole landscape of online shopping.
Sellers are the heart of Daraz’s e-commerce ecosystem. Making it easy for small-and-medium sized businesses to do business anywhere is our primary mission. We believe that the best person to sell a product or a service is the seller himself – not Daraz. That’s why we want to give the sellers all the tools to do this independently. Our job is to build the tools and the control systems to ensure that the customer is always 100% protected in every single transaction.
