Xiaomi surprised Mi fans last year by launching a massive 6.44inch display smartphone Mi Max. It was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 650/652 processor and backed up by 4850mAh battery. Xiaomi launched Mi Max specifically for those who wanted a big screen just like on tablets but should be easily carried inside the pocket. Mi Max is still available in the market and has proved already it is a capable device when it comes to performance and battery life.
Now moving on Mi Max 2, it is supposed to have same 6.44inch Full HD IPS LCD display. And talking about processor, rumors suggest Mi Max 2 will have two different chipset. One will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 CPU with 4GB RAM and the other variant will have Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 CPU with 6GB RAM, both backed up by 5000mAh battery. Recently leaked image from GFXbench shows, Mi Max 2 will be running on Android v7.1.1 Nougat right out of the box, 12MP rear camera with 4K video recording support, 5MP front camera and NFC support.
Camera Sample taken from Mi Max 2 was also leaked on the internet, which confirms it will have a 12MP rear camera sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Looking at the sample image, we can assume the camera quality is going to be improved compared to its last year predecessor. Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date for Mi Max 2, which is on 25th May. And lastly about Mi Max 2 pricing, we can assume it is going to have a very reasonable price tag as other Xiaomi products. As rumor suggest Mi Max 2 will be priced somewhere around 1499 Yuan and 1699 Yuan.
