iQOO, a sub-brand from vivo, is all set to add a mid-range gaming smartphone called ‘iQOO Z1’. A few days back, we encountered the announcement of a new chipset Dimensity 1000+ by MediaTek and the announcement suggested that the iQOO Z1 will be the first mobile phone to come across with this chipset. The first image of iQOO Z1 was released today notifying us about some of its specifications and the launch date.
iQOO Z1 Leaked Specs Overview
As mentioned above, Vivo iQOO Z1 will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1000+, an Octa processor having four A55 cores and four Cortex-A77 cores and it features a Mali-G77 MP9 GPU. Though the leak suggested nothing about the storage capacity iQOO Z1 will have, there are rumors that the phone will come along with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB.
iQOO has also shared the Antutu score of iQOO Z1 on its official Weibo account. According to the company, iQOO Z1 manages to score more than 530,000 points on Antutu, which is still behind compared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 but it easily managed to beat Samsung Galaxy S20 flagship series with Exynos 990 processor.
The camera section of the phone is still suspense to all of us. However, some sources have suggested the phone to feature a quad-camera setup in the rear having a primary sensor of 48MP, an ultra-wide sensor of 12MP, a telephoto camera of 8MP and a secondary sensor of 2 MP for depth sensing. Whereas the front section is rumored to have a 16MP selfie camera.
The Vivo iQOO Z1 is likely to flaunt a 6.67 inches IPS LCD display with 1080×2340 resolutions. As per the images, the front section will include a single punch-hole display and the 144Hz refresh rates. Such a high refresh rate for a mid-range smartphone seems quite peculiar but the fact that the phone belongs to the gaming family from the brand explains it all.
We are unsure about the operating system the phone will run on still, we can assume it won’t be less than Android 10. The phone is said to be equipped with 4500mAh Li-Po with 44W fast charging. Undoubtedly, we have to wait until the official announcement to confirm these specs but the thing we know is the phone will support 5G connectivity.
A leaked promo poster of iQOO Z1 has given us a hint, how much it is going to cost. Looking at the promo poster, we can clearly see a 6+128GB variant of iQOO Z1 is going to priced at CNY 2,498 (~NPR 42,815).
The phone is all set to be launched on May 19 whereas pre-registrations have already begun in China. It seems we have to wait until the launch to disclose all the details of iQOO Z1 including the color options and the pricing. However, we will keep you updated as soon as we get further information. Till then stay tuned and stay safe.
