Xiaomi is all ready to launch new budget segments in the Redmi series in China tomorrow. But this time, it’s not the only product Xiaomi will launch. Along with Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition, Xiaomi is planning to launch the RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition variant, the Mi Air Purifier F1 and Redmi x Keith Haring accessories in the same event happening on 24th of March in China.
Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom Edition
As of now, there is no significant difference between K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition except for the storage options. Both are powered by Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865 (7 nm+), Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 585) and Adreno 650. Redmi K30 Pro comes with two storage options; one with 6GB RAM and another with 8GB RAM, both having 128GB internal storage.
Likewise, Redmi K30 Pro Zoom shall have 3 storage options; 8GB RAM +128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM +256GB internal storage and 12GB RAM +512GB internal storage. This can even be expanded through microSDXC and shall feature UFS 3.1 storage improving the speed of the device and reducing battery consumption. Last time we also shared the Antutu benchmark score of Redmi K30 Pro.
Digging into the camera, they will flaunt a quad-camera setup in the rear. The setup comprises of a wide primary sensor of 64 MP, f/1.9, 26mm (wide), a telephoto secondary lens of 64 MP (telephoto), an ultrawide secondary lens of 8 MP, f/2.2, 13mm (ultrawide) and a secondary lens of 2MP, f/2.4 for depth sensing. Both 64MP camera sensors are going to be from Sony (IMX686) and will record video up to 8k resolution.
The selfie camera has a sensor of 20 MP, f/2.2, 27mm (wide). The double OIS in the camera stabilizes our picture and the telephoto lens with 3* optical zoom lets us photograph a distant object without compromising at the picture quality. You will definitely love these features if you are a fan of portrait photography.
Upfront, the devices flash 6.67 inches Super AMOLED display. They shall have 1080×2400 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is advertised to have 800 nits maximum brightness. The phones shall be protected by Gorilla Glass 5 front as well as back and framed by aluminum. Sadly, the display will have only a 60Hz refresh rate, which is kind of a bummer.
The phones will equip a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh fast-charging battery. They will run on MIUI 11 on the top of Android 10.0. Both phones shall come in four color variants; Moonlight White, Sky Blue, Purple, and Space Grey. The Redmi K30 Pro 6 GB + 128 GB model is expected to cost 3,499 yuan (~US$493) while the 8 GB + 128 GB version will cost 3,699 yuan (~US$521).
The pricing of Redmi K30 Pro Zoom is not disclosed yet. However, the 8GB + 128GB model is rumored to cost 3,999 yuan (~US$564). Since Xiaomi plans to launch it in China only, we can’t predict the exact price in Nepal.
Xiaomi, in collaboration with AMD, launched Redmi 14 Ryzen Edition with AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor, 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage last year. Now, it is planning to launch a new variant of the laptop with 16BG RAM. We are not sure whether a new variant will get the same processor or the latest Ryzen 4000 ones. However, the RedmiBook 14 Ryzen Edition features a 4-inch FHD IPS display with slim bezels and utilizes an AMD Radeon Vega graphic card. As per now, Xiaomi has not planned to launch it in Nepal.
Mi Air Purifier F1
Along with the phones and laptops, Xiaomi will launch a brand new air purifier, named Mi Air Purifier F1, in the same event. We have not received detailed information about the purifier yet. However, the previously launched Mi Air Purifier boasted triple-layer filtration which includes a primary filter, a true HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filter, and an activated carbon filter. We can expect the same from the new one too. Regarding the design, all the Mi Purifiers to date have been famous for their design and great airflow. We believe this shall be no exception.
Redmi x Keith Haring accessories
Likewise, the company has announced to launch a new product, Redmi x Keith Haring accessories. The company has kept us in suspense about the product. However, by name, we can guess this shall be a crossover of Redmi and American artist Keith Haring’s pop art and graffiti-like work. We shouldn’t be surprised if the product is a phone case with graffiti-like artwork.
