There has been a plenty of leaks and rumors surrounding the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, the successor to the Mi Note. Following that trend, another leak has surfaced on Weibo in the form of what’s said to be presentation slides of the official launch event scheduled for 25th October.
The leak pretty much leaves us with nothing to imagine as it wraps off just about everything about the device.
Mi Note 2 Leaked Slides
According to the leak, The Mi Note 2 will have a 5.7 Super AMOLED Dual-curved display made by LG , 3D touch (remember Apple’s force touch?) and 2560*1440 resolution.
Leaked slides also revealed that Mi Note 2 will be powered by 64-Bit Snapdragon 821 SOC, a massive 4,100mAh battery with Qualcomm quick charge capability and MUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The rumors appears to be true as the leak insists that it is going to sport a dual camera setup on the back, the first one’s going to be a 23 megapixel Sony IMX318 sensor and the second camera will make use of a 13 megapixel Sony IMX378 sensor, while on the front will be a 8MP shooter.
The device is listed to even have an iris scanner along with the Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint sensor placed in the front. It is also going to be NFC-enabled and will support Mi Pay.
Other connectivity options include 4G voLTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802 a/c, dual-SIM (nano + nano) , GPS and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone is expected to come in two variants, one with 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage and another with 6GB RAM/128GB internal storage.
As for the price, the leaks showcases the 4GB RAM variant to be priced at 2,799 CNY (~USD$415) and 6GB RAM variant at 2,999 CNY (~USD$445).
Update (23-10-2016): New rumor suggest Mi Note 2 price will start from CNY 4,000 ($590). But we think price leaked from the slides are more reasonable and believable compared to latest rumor price.Â
At the end of the day we suggest you to take this info as grain of salt. As we’ve had seen other leaks showcasing a jet black Mi Note 2 with single camera setup and edge to edge display and another report suggesting it’s likely to have a bezel less display, the end reality might be a complete different story.
