It was a flash sale held via the official Xiaomi website where users had preregistered to buy the Xiaomi’s newly unveiled flagship. Although we have no information as to how many units were put on for sale by the company. Nonetheless selling out in 50 seconds is an impressive achievement. Obviously, this is very good news for Xiaomi as this will help to create a buzz in the market about Mi Note 2. The next flash sale is scheduled to be held on November 8.
The Mi MIX, another smartphone announced on the same day as the Mi Note 2 and perhaps even more anticipated by the consumers is set to launch on November 4 on China. The Mi MIX can do as well if not better in sales than the Mi Note 2 itself.
The Mi Note 2 has only been launched in China and there is no news as to when the global release will be. Unfortunately for India, the Mi Note 2 along with the Mi MIX will not be launching in the country as stated by Xiaomi’s global VP, Hugo Barra. You can learn more about what Hugo Barra said on the MI Note 2 and Mi MIX for the Indian market HERE.
It’s no surprise that the Note 2 is doing so well as it provides great specs, including the curved OLED display(much like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7). It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 SoC and up to 6 GB of RAM. A 22.65 MP rear-facing camera with a Sony IMX318 sensor and a large 4070mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. Mi Note 2 (4GB+64GB) was available for CNY 2799 ($413) whereas Mi Note 2 (6GB+128GB) was available for CNY 3299 ($487).
If this sale is any indication, the Mi Note 2 will do very well in sales worldwide like the Redmi Note 3and the MI 5. But unfortunately, we still don’t have any information about the availability of Mi Note 2 and Mi MIX for Nepal.
