Gionee Nepal has been providing affordable phones with great specs and has been one of the favourite brands among Nepali consumers. With the success of phones like Marathon series and P series. Its S series are particularly better when it comes to design, they are slimmer than others and looks elegant. Gionee Nepal has launched Gionee S6 pro and Gionee P7 Max in Nepal. Gionee S6 pro was recently announced in India at Rs.23,999 (Indian Currency).
About Gionee S6 Pro:
Gionee S6 Pro is a Dual Nano- sim phone that comes with a 5.5 inch IPS display and 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, which is considerably good.
Gionee S6 Pro packs a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset which is clocked at 1.8Ghz. The good thing about S6 Pro is its 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory which is expandable upto 256GB using the SIM 2 slot. Gionee has been providing good camera phones and S6 Pro also doesn’t miss out with 13 mp rear camera and 8MP front camera, which seems to be very good for the camera buffs.
It has a 3130mAh Non- Removable battery and metal unibody design, which slightly puts phone’s weight on a heavier side with 170 grams.
Now here is the interesting part. Gionee S6 Pro is priced at Rs.34,999 in Nepal, which is Rs.3,399 less cheaper compared to Indian pricing.

About Gionee P7 Max:
Another phone that Gionee has brought to Nepali market is Gionee P7 Max, which looks great on paper as it features great specs and reasonable price. P7 Max is a dual sim phone which also has a 5.5 inch IPS display but its resolution is slightly on the lower side with 720 x 1280 pixel. The company also claims that the screen comes with scratch resistant glass.
Talking about muscles i.e. Processing Power, it packs a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6595 Processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage, which looks great for the price that it is being offered for. Gionee P7 Max comes with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera. On the software side, Gionee P7 Max is running on Android v6.0 Marshmallow with Amigo 3.2 skin on top. With 3,100 mAh battery, Gionee comes with a standby time of approximately 290 hrs.
Gionee P7 Max is priced at Rs.21,999 in Nepal and looks a bargain on paper. But we will have to test it before coming to any conclusion.
So far the biggest rival for Gionee S6 Pro in Nepali market will be Redmi Note 4. Redmi Note 4 is also now available in Nepal at Rs.32999. When we compared both devices, Gionee S6 Pro has more RAM and more megapixels on front facing camera than Redmi Note 4. Whereas Redmi Note 4 has a large battery capacity, uses more powerful Helio X20 Hexa-core processor and cost Rs.2000 less compared to Gionee S6 Pro.
