After many leaks and rumors, Gionee finally announced Gionee S9 in China. Gionee S9 comes with a metal unibody design with 2.5D glass on the front. Under the curved glass, there is a 5.5inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD resolution.
Gionee S9 is powered by Helio P10 Octa-core CPU, which is kind of strange that Gionee decided to go with a year-old chipset. Other specs include 4GB RAM, expandable 64GB internal storage, fingerprint sensor, 4G support, Dual-SIM (Hybrid) and 3000mAh non-removable battery.
Now let’s talk about the main highlight of Gionee S9 that is its cameras. On the back we have a dual-camera setup, one comes with a 13MP sensor, whereas the other comes with a 5MP sensor. Like recently launched ZTE Axon Elite, Gionee S9 also uses two camera sensors to create depth of field or BOKEH effects on images. Two camera sensors are made from Sony and Samsung, so we can expect some great images from Gionee S9.
On the front, we have 13MP rear camera with a soft light flash. So there is very little chance of you getting blind this time while taking selfies from Gionee S9.
Gionee S9 pre-order has started in China with a price tag of CNY 2,499 (~NPR Rs.39500) and will be available on 25th November for purchase. Regarding the availability of Gionee S9 in Nepal, we don’t have any information yet. But we guess Gionee Nepal will launch Gionee S9 soon or later in the Nepali market as well.
