Google Announces Pixel And Pixel XL

After Several pre-event leaks and speculation, Google’s new Pixel and Pixel Xl smartphones are now finally official. The event started with a video by the characters of HBO’s “Silicon Valley”. “Why wasn’t I on the beta?!” that was followed by the summary by Sundar Pichai of computing since the first PC.
The search giant has been producing its own Android-based phones for the last few years under the “Nexus” brand- but no more. Google has discarded the Nexus brand in favor of the Pixel moniker. In the past, the company has used the Pixel name on its premium tablet and laptop products.

The first phone built by Google inside and out.” Just like Apple, Google controlled both the hardware and the software in this case- Android version 7.

New features:

  • F2.0 aperture with a 12-megapixel sensor! So it can take sharp pictures, quickly
  • Smartburst! Takes a lot of images and picks the best one.
  • HDR plus! A multiple-exposure, pixel by pixel composite that lets you photograph in low light or high contrast environments.
  • Low shutter lag! Apparently the lowest of any they’ve tested.
  • Video stabilization! “This works by sampling the gyroscope at 200 times per second, and instantaneously compensating each part of the image”
  • Built-in Google photos! Free, unlimited online storage, with ANOTHER dig at Apple: no more ‘storage full’ alerts.

Now let’s get into the point, Will Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL be launched in Nepal?

We guess, Not. Since we don’t have any authorized distributor or official partners for the Google smartphones in Nepal, there are almost ZERO chances of launching these devices in Nepal officially. The only Google smartphone, which was ever launched in Nepal officially was Google Nexus 5 though Ncell partnership.

Besides smartphones, Google also showed us many new products like Google WiFi, Google Home, Chrome Cast Ultra and Daydream view. Watch the event highlights below:
