Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei’s, is going to launch its Honor 9 Youth edition on December 21 in China. Honor 9 was launched in August and now its mid-ranged version is going to roll out. The launch date of the Honor 9 Youth edition was officially confirmed on the Weibo page. The youth edition has a similar design with only minor differences in features and specifications.
About Honor 9 Youth Edition
Honor 9 Youth Edition will equip a 5.65-inch display having a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device will be powered by Huawei’s self-manufactured processor Kirin 659 SoC. Furthermore, it will be available in two configurations: 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage space. Talking about the camera sensors, Honor 9 Youth will feature a quad-camera setup — dual camera set up on rear and back. The dual camera set up includes a 13-megapixel sensor coupled with a 20-megapixel sensor. In addition, the device is backed up by a 2,900mAh battery. Also, the device will run on Android 8.0 out of the box.
The pricing for Honor 9 Youth Edition will be CNY 1,299 (~NRS. 20,235) for 3GB version and CNY 1,599 (~NRS.24,908) for 4GB version. This addition of Honor 9 Youth to the existing fleet will make another budget device with a Quad-camera setup available to the customers. However, the availability of the device to other countries except China is not confirmed. Also, we have no news regarding when the device will be available for purchase in China itself.
