Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer, HTC has launched the HTC desire pro and HTC 10 Evo in India. These devices have been launched in the mid-range budget category. The desire series has been very popular among android fans with its premium build quality.
The HTC desire 10 comes with a 5.5’’ IPS LCD full HD display glass and features a metal unibody design. It is powered by Mediatek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM (Expandable to 2TB via microSD card). Its rear camera includes a 20MP sensor with laser autofocus and auto HDR mode. In the front there is a 13MP sensor also with auto HDR and “selfie panorama” mode to capture wide-angle photos. Both the sensors have an aperture f/2.2 and incorporates a BSI sensor for better low light photography. It also comes with NFC functionality. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time. The phone also features HTC Boomsound stereo speakers for high quality audio.
The lower end variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM has not been made available in India. It will run on android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with HTC’s Sense UI on top. It is available in a range of colors(Valentine Lux, Stone Black, Royal Blue, and Polar White).
The HTC 10 evo like the Desire 10 comes with a 5.5’’ IPS LCD display but at 1440presolution. It has been built to be water and dust resistant with a IP57rating. It is powered by the slightly older Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor. It comes with 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM. It features a 16MP rear camera with f2.0 aperture, Phase Detection Auto focus and Optical Image Stabilization(OIS). The front camera is 8MP with f2.4 aperture. It will run on Android 7 (Nougat) out of the box with Sense UI on top. It is backed by a big 3200mAh battery with support for QuickCharge 2.0. Both the HTC desire 10 and 10 evo sport a fingerprint sensor.
The HTC desire 10 pro will be available in India mid-december at INR. 26,490 but the pricing and the availability of the HTC 10 evo is yet to be revealed. With the launch of these phones in India, we can probably look forward to its launch in our market some time in the future.
