DxOMark is a photography analytic firm which tests the camera capabilities. Recently the newly announced Huawei P10 has been put through the DxOMark test and scored 87. The device features two camera sensors in the back. One with a 12MP color sensor and the other with a 20MP monochrome sensor and an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera has an 8MP sensor size. All of the camera were co-created with Leica. Huawei P10 score of 87 settled just behind Google Pixel with 89 and Galaxy S7 Edge with 88.
DxOMark put it under the tests for image color, quality, texture, noise, etc. both in photo and video mode. In terms of Photos DxOMark gave Huawei P10 a score of 88. DxOMark said it performed very well in all conditions providing “generally good exposures in all conditions”, and added that the detail and texture preservation in the photos were also solid. The auto-focus in the P10 was judged as the one of the fastest. Moreover, the team said that “it captured some of the sharpest pictures ever.”
Regarding the videos the Huawei P10 scored just 84 which is a bit less than expected. The device is able to record videos at 1080p resolution at 60fps, and at the higher 2160p resolution at 30fps. The team said that the video captured from it provided good exposures and dynamic range with good white balance in all conditions. Videos also have solid details and texture even in low light conditions which was the plus point for it. The autofocus was also fast when changing the positions and lighting conditions. At last the Huawei P10 in overall managed to score 87.
