Annual tech fare, CAN info tech has been featuring both new and cool laptops every year and some with surprisingly low prices. This year was no exception. From Acer to MSI, there were laptops from nearly every popular brand in Nepal. However there was an absence of brands like Apple and Samsung in this department. Nonetheless there were some noteworthy offers on the different brands of laptops that were present.

  1. MSI

MSI showcased its gaming series of laptops at the event. It also provided free MSI gaming Bag along with any purchase on the gaming lineup. One of the most notable offers was the GL62 7QF with the latest i7 seventh generation HQ processor. Although featuring a slightly older 960M, still a great deal considering it offered 4K display and 8GB DDR4 memory at a price of 1.2 lakhs. If you are looking for something with more power MSI also featured GP62 7RD-Leopard with GTX 1050 and 128GB SSD at a price of 1.6 lakhs. For non gamers, the laptops from the MSI classic series like the CR43 were also available for purchase.

  2. Acer

One of the most repeatedly seen laptops at the event was probably the Acer aspire E5-575G. It’s no surprise as it was the best selling laptop on Amazon last year. For a reasonable price, you will be getting some amazing specs. The 575G features Nvidia’s 940mx graphics card with 4 to 8 GB of DDR4 memory. However, we found no models with SSDs but it can be easily added to the laptop for additional price. The price varied from 55k to 80k depending on the memory and processor. It is in our opinion one of the best deals at the event.

  3. Dell

There were many laptops from the Dell 3000 series starting at 29K. The cheapest we found was the Dell Inspiron 3552 with an Intel Celeron processor and 4GB of RAM at Rs. 29,999. Other i3 models from the series like the Inspiron 3458 and 3558 with 4GB of RAM were priced at Rs. 39,999. These are no doubt great deals for college students looking for a laptop for media consumption and other basic tasks. If you are looking for a dell laptop with a discrete graphics card, the i5 version of the 3558 will set you back 52K. The gaming powerhouse Dell Inspiron 7559 with the i7 version was featured at the MAX international booth priced at 1.19 lakhs while the i5 version was priced at 1.05 lakh.

Also the thinkpad lineup from Lenovo like the Thinkpad E560 with i5 6th generation processor and 4GB RAM offered at Rs. 59,999. Another was the HP 15 with a 7th generation i5 processor for Rs. 58,999.
