Design

First talking about the design of the MacBook, Pro M2 gets the same old design as the previous MacBook Pro 13 with no change at all in the design. Whereas the MacBook Air M2 gets a complete redesign from its previous predecessor MacBook Air M1.

Macbook M2 Air vs M2 Pro

Comparing MacBook Pro 13 M2 to MacBook Air M2 the Pro is slightly thicker at 0.61 inches while the MacBook Air M2 comes at 0.44-inch thickness this could be the cause of the in-built fan on the Pro version.

Display

As per the table, the MacBook M2 Air has a slight edge over the performance of the MacBook Pro but due to the active cooling system on the M2 Pro model, it’s likely to handle the intensive tasks better such as video encoding and editing in the long run.

Battery & Charging

The MacBook M2 Pro features a slightly larger battery at 58.2 Watt-hour whereas the MacBook M2 Air gets a battery capacity of 52.6 Watt-hour. Similarly talking about the battery life of the Mac book the M2 Pro can last up to 20 hours playing videos while the slightly lower battery capacity M2 Air can last up to 18 hours on video playback.

Addtionally the MacBook M2 Pro gets a standard USB -C charger with 67W while the Mac Book M2 Air gets a Mag-safe power port/ type-C for charging the device whereas the M2 Air gets a 30W charger on the 8-core GPU option and 35W Charger on the 10 Core GPU option.
