Successor to the M3’s, Meizu M5 comes with some improved specs. It provides a 5.2’’ HD IPS display covered in 2.5D glass and is powered by Mediatek MT6750 octa-core processor same Meizu M3s. A 13 MP camera at the back with phase detection autofocus and dual tone LED flash. For Chinese market, Meizu M5 will be running on Alibaba’s Yun OS 5.1 with Meizu’s FlyMe user interface on top. But there Global variant of Meizu M5 will have Android OS v5.1 lollipop with FlyMe skin. The fingerprint scanner is placed in the home button which unlocks in less than 0.2 seconds.

There are two variants of the phone, one with 2GB RAM + 16GB storage priced at $103 and the other with 3GB RAM + 32GB priced at $132. Meizu M5 will come in several different colors like Matte Black, Mint, Green, Blue, Champagnegold and White.
The Meizu M5 has a lot to offer considering its price tag that’s why after its official announcement, Meizu has received 4.3 million registrations for the Meizu M5 in the first 24 hours. However, the number of registration does not mean the actual sales number. But that’s an impressive number of people who are interested in this product.
Ubiquity Pvt. Ltd is the sole authorized distributor of Meizu smartphones in Nepal and so far they have launched the Meizu M3s and the M3 Note. At the moment, the Meizu M5 is only in sale on China but we hope Meizu Nepal will launch Meizu M5 in the near future.
