Redmi 4 comes with 5inch IPS display with 1280×720 pixel resolution. At the event Mi India representative said that they went with HD resolution not with Full HD on Redmi 4 because they didn’t want to compromise on the performance and battery life. Because Redmi 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 Octa-core CPU and is backed up by 4100mAh non-removable battery. On the software side, Redmi 4 will be running on Android Marshmallow with MIUI 8 Skin but Mi India also confirmed that Redmi 4 will get Nougat update in near future.
As with other Redmi devices available in India, Redmi 4 will also be manufactured in India and will be available in three variants, 2GB RAM+16GB ROM, 3GB RAM+32GB ROM and 4GB+64GB ROM at INR 6,999 , INR 8,999 and INR 10,999 respectively. Redmi 4 will go on sale on Mi.com and Amazon.com on May 23, 12 noon with Matte black and Gold color options.
The other device Mi India announced today at the event was Mi Router 3C. It comes with 4 high performance copper antennas, 80m Wi-Fi range and 64MB RAM. Mi Router 3C can handle up to 64 devices and can give speed up to 300Mbps. It can be setup and control by Mi Wi-Fi app, which can be downloaded on android and iOS devices. Other features include Guest sharing, Wi-Fi boost, parental control and real time monitoring.
Mi Router 3C will available in White Matte color at INR 1,199 and will go on sale 23rd May, 12noon exclusively on Mi.com. And later on 8th June, Mi router 3C will be available on Amazon.com as well.
