OnePlus 3T Announced – Comes With 16MP Selfie Camera
After many hints by the company on different social media sites, OnePlus has finally revealed an upgrade to its this five-month-old flagship device. The new and improved ‘OnePlus 3T’ has a $40 higher price tag than the previously released OnePlus 3.
The new OnePlus 3T sees improvements in the phone’s battery, camera, and processor. As teased by Qualcomm on twitter, the new device will ship with the new Snapdragon 821 processor as seen in many of the latest flagship devices like the Google Pixel. The new SoC promises improved performance, efficiency, and better power consumption. However, the phone will run on the same old Android v6.0 Marshmallow. But it will be receiving a 7.0 update later this year. The OnePlus 3 will also be receiving this update along with many software updates introduced in the OnePlus 3T.
OnePlus has gone for a bigger battery with 3400mAh capacity with support for the company’s proprietary Dash Charge. The company promises “a day’s worth of power with a half-hour of charging”. The rear camera is the same as the 16MP Sony sensor but this time with the sapphire lens and improved EIS(Electronic Image Stabilization). The front camera, on the other hand, is far superior to that of OnePlus 3 with a 16MP image sensor made by Samsung and adds a ‘Smile capture’ feature. So we can expect some great selfies with new Oneplus 3T.

OnePlus has been receiving a lot of flack for releasing a better version of the OnePlus 3 only five months after the phone’s release. But according to the recent tweets from OnePlus, they will continue selling OnePlus 3 along with OnePlus 3T.
