Oneplus shook the mobile world when they launched their first smartphone Oneplus One with all high-end specs of that time at half the price of other companies’ flagship smartphones. OnePlus smartphones are available for quite sometime in Nepal but majority of consumers here in Nepal has no idea about this brand. It might be because of lack of advertisement and brand awareness. Another possible reason might be the availability because OnePlus smartphones are available only in selected mobile retail store in the cities. When a consumer with very little knowledge about smartphones reaches to a mobile store, there is very little chance that he/she will go for Oneplus 3T if he/she is willing to spend Rs.55000 on a smartphone. He/She will end up buying Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 because of Samsung’s brand value or Oppo F3 Plus, because of retailer/promoter sales pitch.
OnePlus 3T review by MrMobile [Michael Fisher]
I’m not trying to say Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 Plus are bad phones or they suck. Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 is IP68 certified which means it is dust and water resistance. On the other hand Oppo F3 Plus comes with dual Selfie camera on the front for great selfies. However, overall OnePlus 3T offers better value for money compared to Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 Plus. OnePlus 3T comes with a powerful CPU and GPU to run every app and games available in Google play store smoothly compared to Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 plus. How? Because OnePlus 3T is using flagship Qualcomm processor from last year, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 whereas Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 Plus are using Exynos 7880 and Snapdragon 653 processor respectively which are basically mid-range processors from last year too.
To make sure everything runs smooth and fast, OnePlus 3T offers 6GB LPDDR4 RAM, whereas Samsung Galaxy A7 2017 uses 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and Oppo F3 Plus uses 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. On camera department OnePlus 3T is not bad either. It comes with a 16MP Sony sensor on Rear and a 16MP Samsung sensor on the front. The Picture quality is really good considering its price. So most of the users will be happy with the camera on OnePlus 3T. Lastly the dash charge, which changed the whole meaning of fast charging. Dash Charge helps you to charge your device from 0-50% in just 30min without heating up your device like with other fast charging smartphones.
Beside hardware what makes OnePlus 3T apart from Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 Plus is its software. OnePlus is really trying hard to push Android updates as soon as possible. That’s why OnePlus 3T is now running Android v7.1.1 Nougat whereas other two devices (Galaxy A7 2017 and Oppo F3 Plus) are running on old Android version Marshmallow. OnePlus Forum community is also something worth to talk. Because there you can find many OnePlus users who shares their experience, help each other to fix issues, report bugs and latest news about Oxygen OS and other OnePlus products. OnePlus also rolls software updates through OTA to fix bugs or to add new features requested by OnePlus users on the forum.
