A new phone dubbed ‘OnePlus pixel’ has been spotted on Geekbench recently. The Geekbench listing was originally spotted by PhoneArena and shows the phone to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 1.59 GHz.
The listing further reveals the phone to be powered by 6GB RAM and running android v7.1 (Nougat). It has received a Single-core score of 2326 and a multi-core score of 5475.
OnePlus has recently confirmed that they are about to launch an upgraded version of the Oneplus 3 called the OnePlus 3T .We know that the OnePlus 3T and the OnePlus Pixel are not the same device as the latter is powered by Snapdragon 820 SoC while the other is powered by Snapdragon 821 processor. Also the OnePlus 3T is rumored to have 8GB of RAM. You can learn more about the OnePlus 3T here.
The new phone shares a lot of similarities with the OnePlus 3 with 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 820 processor. But unlike OnePlus 3 this new device is running on the very latest android Nougat which can only be found on a handful of phones like the Google Pixel.
At this point we don’t know what this means. Maybe the launch of ‘OnePlus Pixel’ is in the works but this is all speculation at this point. Perhaps OnePlus will shed some light on this mysterious smartphone on November 15th when they launch the OnePlus 3T.
