Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, OnePlus is set to unveil their new smartphone tomorrow. They have sort of confirmed that the new device will be called OnePlus 3T which, as the name suggests will be an upgrade to their flagship OnePlus 3.
The new teaser was posted by OnePlus on Chinese social media site, Weibo. The post shows the phone placed in front of the mirror. At the back, the device has similar layout to the Oneplus 3 with its camera and logo placement. Inside the mirror, a ‘T’ is seen in the phone’s display which leads us to believe this device will be called OnePlus 3T. The wording on the post says “To Be a Better Me #NeverSettle & NeverStop”.
This is not the first teaser released by the company. A post on twitter by OnePlus reads “T-7: The Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 (2.35GHz) is coming your way. Find out more on November 15”.
We know for a fact that the new device will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor, Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35GHz which has been confirmed by Qualcomm. Other rumors indicate the phone to come with a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor and 6GB of RAM. But some rumors also indicate it may come with 8GB of RAM. Some sources say the phone will ship with LCD display instead of AMOLED for some reason. It is also expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat and feature two memory versions(64GB and 128GB).
Noted tech blogger and tipster, Evan Blass has said that the phone will cost $80 more than OnePlus 3.
We will know more details on the phone’s specifications when the it launches tomorrow via facebook live.
