Redmi Pad 5G to be out with 90Hz screen, 30W charging, 48MP rear camera!
Rumor has it that after two years since Xiaomi last released a tablet there will be a new Redmi tablet on April 27. But since these are only rumors and haven’t been officially evocated, they are a little hard to believe.
Some insights though, the Redmi Pad 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 765G chipset, making it one of the first 5G tablets. These features are still pretty atypical and there are none in the CNY 2,000 range and yes that’s the alleged price of this tablet and in international value, it works out as $285/€260.
In terms of appearances, the tablet will have a 90Hz screen which does sound pretty skeptical for the price value. In addition, it is said to have a 48MP Sony sensor on the back, which would be the highest resolution camera on a tablet by far now that would be a whole wow if it is true.
For charging there is 30W fast charging although we haven’t heard of the battery capacity yet. We also haven’t heard about the screen size so far, but let’s hope that the rumors are true and we get to know more about it. The leaked teaser mentions four speakers, plus the specs above and that’s about it.
Like we said earlier, Xiaomi has not officially said or teased anything about this tablet. A Xiaomi exec did recently comment on Weibo that the company is not giving up on tablets, so in all, it’s a never say never kind o a deal.
In the context of availability, The Redmi Pad 5G is rumored to be unveiled on April 27 alongside the Mi 10 Youth, which will offer periscope zoom camera at an affordable price point along with 5G connectivity, in fact, it uses the same 765G chipset, however, all we can do is wait for now. And. So, even if we don’t get a new 5G tablet, we are all still rooting for the Mi 10 Youth.
