Redmibook with Ryzen 4000 processor Launching Soon
Since Xiaomi started launching laptops, the company has come up with 8 different Laptops. Among the three of them are under RemdiBook branding while the other five are under the Mi name tag, including their Mi Gaming Laptop Laptop launched in 2019.
Now, according to Redmi’s official Weibo post it has been confirmed that the company is going to launch a new variant of RemdiBook along with Redmi 10X in the launch happening on the 26th of May in China.
Four days before the event, Lu Weibing the president of Xiaomi Group and General Manager of Redmi confirmed that the upcoming RedmiBook lineup will be powered by AMD 4000 series processors. AMD’s new Ryzen 4000 series got very positive reviews in the PC world and features powerful performance while being power efficient at the same time. While the GPU side is handled by the company’s own Vega GPU which is definitely better than integrated graphics provided from Intel’s side.
Going more into the lineup the strong leaks suggest there will be two new RedmiBooks to be launched while some say three different variants. Twitter tipster @_rogame claims to have found details of the two models. One with Ryzen 5 4500U and the other one with Ryzen 7 4700U, both having Samsung’s PM881 SSD.
Ryzen 4500U is a Hexa core CPU with six threads and Ryzen 7 4700U is an octa-core CPU with an eight-thread. AMD’s new Ryzen 4000 series of processors are based on the Company’s powerful Zen 2 architecture. These Chipsets offer great multi-thread computing power along with a lower overall Thermal Design Power (TDP). Which means it can stand on 18-hour battery life promised by the Company.
Summing up things, we could see a 16.1 inch and 15-inch model, with around 90 percent of screen to body ratio. Powered with AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series processors on 26th of May, 2020 alongside new Redmi 10X series of smartphones and Redmi X TV.
