After a lot of rumors, leaks, and hands-on video, Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018). Both of these devices have been the most awaited budget phone from Samsung because for the first time the company has used Infinity display in other devices except its flagship. The Vice President of Global Product Planning of the company has said that the Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) features flagship features such as dual selfies an Infinity display.

Talking about the specs of the device, Galaxy A8 (2018) features a 5.6 inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution or 2160×1440p. On the other hand, the Galaxy A8+ (2018) comes with a slightly larger display featuring a 6-inch display with the same resolution. The aspect ratio of the display is 18:9 so the phone has a large display with few bezels. The Galaxy A8 (2018) comes with 4GB RAM along with either 32GB or 64GB internal storage.
However, the A8+ has two RAM options: 4GB and 6GB. Powering these both devices is Octa-core Exynos 7885 chipset with a clocking speed of 2x 2.2 GHz and 6x 1.6 GHz. Backing up the Galaxy A8 is a 3000mAh battery while the Galaxy A8+ will pack a slightly larger 3500mAh battery. In addition, the devices will feature fast charging.
The dual camera is another attraction of the devices besides the Infinity display. The front camera comes with a 16MP+8MP setup with an aperture of f/1.9. The rear cameras will sport a 16MP sensor with the aperture of f/1.7. The front camera will also support live focus mode.
The Galaxy A8 and A8+ will come with Android 7.1.1 but Samsung will soon roll out the Android Oreo update to its users. For payment services, the A8 and A8+ will feature NFC and MST as well. The sensor compatibility on the device includes Accelerometer, Barometer, Rear Fingerprint Sensor, and others.
Samsung has given no information regarding the pricing of the device yet. However, judging from the specs of the device and the pricing of the previous predecessor, we think it will price over $500.
