Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime And Galaxy J7 Prime Price In Nepal
We knew this was coming and finally, the time has arrived. Samsung Nepal is all set to launch Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime and Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime in Nepal. In fact, some of the mobile retail stores in Kathmandu have these devices on sales at the moment. So before jumping to their prices, let’s see what Samsung has to offer this time around with Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 Prime.
Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime
Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime comes with the same 5inch display with the same 1280×720 pixels resolution. What things are changed is now we are getting TFT display (No IPS panel) instead of Super AMOLED. And the display, this time around is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4, which is a welcome edition, but I’ll suggest you get a tempered glass cover for extra protection.
Other changes can be found on the processor. Samsung has decided to use its in-house chipset, this time instead of Qualcomm processor, which was used on Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 edition. Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime comes with Exynos 7570 Quad-core 1.4GHz CPU with Mali-T720 GPU. Exynos 7570 is the latest entry-level chipset from Samsung which comes with 14nm FinFET technology. That basically means it’s a power-efficient processor. And maybe that is why Samsung has decided to go from the 3100mAh battery to a 2400mAh battery this time with Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime.
Moving on to its camera, we are getting the same 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. Finally, Samsung realized that the front-facing flash will make you blind, not beautiful, that’s why they have removed it this time. And lastly, we are getting a fingerprint sensor on Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime. Other changes are visual. I really the design this time over Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 edition, especially in black color. And when you carry this device, it feels premium thanks to its metal back. Samsung has also decided to move loudspeaker from the bottom to the right side (just above the power button) of the device.
Something that didn’t change in Samsung Galaxy J5 prime is its RAM and ROM capacity. We are still getting 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. But beside other smartphones, which comes with a Hybrid SIM card slot where you have to use either SIM or MicroSD card in the same slot, Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime comes with a dedicated MicroSD card slot which can support up to 256GB card. And don’t worry, we are still getting a dual SIM card slot that supports 4G SIM cards. Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime will be available in two colors: Black and Gold.
Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime price in Nepal: Rs.22990.00
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime
Things are a little different from Samsung Galaxy J7 prime when it comes to the display. Finally, we are getting Full HD resolution on a 5.5inch display which means texts are going to look a lot sharper compared to Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 edition. But instead of a Super AMOLED display, we are getting TFT display (No IPS panel) with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Again, I’ll suggest you use Tempered glass for extra protection of your screen. Sadly Samsung decided to use the same chipset from Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 which is Exynos 7870 Octa-core 1.6GHz CPU comes with the Mali-T830MP2 GPU.
What this means is we won’t be able to get the same kind of performance with Galaxy J7 prime what we used to get on Galaxy J7 2016 edition. Because the same CPU and GPU have to work with more pixels this time in Galaxy J7 Prime which will effect on performance, especially while playing high-end graphic games. Talking about RAM and ROM, we are getting 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card. Moving on to its camera we were getting the same 13MP rear camera front last year Galaxy J7 2016 edition, but on the front now we have an 8MP front-facing camera with no flash. And yes, we are getting a fingerprint sensor on Galaxy J7 prime just like on Galaxy J5 Prime.
Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 comes with 3300mAh non-removable battery which Samsung promises will give up to 14hrs of video playback, 16hrs of internet usage on Wi-Fi and up to 21hrs of Talktime in 3G network. Like Galaxy J5 Prime, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime comes with the same metal unibody design and loudspeaker on the left side. Something which is still missing on both Galaxy J5 Prime and Galaxy J7 prime is auto-brightness sensor and gyroscope. Samsung Galaxy J7 prime is available in Black and Gold color.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime price in Nepal: Rs.29490
I really like the design and how they feel in the hand. Samsung Nepal has really done a fantastic job on the pricing. If you don’t know, Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime and Galaxy J5 prime are cheaper here in Nepal compared to the Indian market. But if we just look at the specs, we can find smartphones from Xiaomi and Meizu in the market which are offering better specs at a cheaper price. We’ll soon come up with a full review of these devices. So make sure you follow us on Facebook and subscribe to our YouTube Channel.
