All of this started in 2011 when Samsung launched its Galaxy Note in IFA Berlin. At the time the device came equipped with a 5.3-inch screen which was considered quite large for a phone back in time. But it was a huge success for Samsung. This legacy continued and soon we are going to see new devices in the Note lineup; they are Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20+.
If we look at Samsung’s track record we could get the device anywhere around August, just before Apple’s New iPhones.
According to the latest renders based on drawings obtained by pigtou.com the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 looks quite a lot like Samsung’s recent flagship the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra. Though the device looks quite similar, the Note is having a boxier design with sharply rounded corners just like any typical Galaxy Note device. The device has a small punch hole at the front where the front camera houses and at the back the camera setup is somehow similar to Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra.
Talking about cameras at the back, leaks from the ice universe suggests that only the plus variant of the Galaxy Note 20 will have 108 MP camera with a newly updated sensor for better Auto Focus. Samsung won’t use the 108MP camera in Note 20. Ice Universe also shared that none of the upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series will have gimmicky 100x zoom. It looks like Samsung isn’t very happy with the results from the 100x zoom capabilities. Samsung has decided to include a new telephoto lens, which might be a periscope zoom lens looking at the leaked CAD render image of Galaxy Note 20.
Just like the previous year even this time the smaller Note is rumored to have a 60Hz display with a 1080p+ resolution. The plus variant is going to have a 120Hz QHD display with LTPO technology. This means it will result in better battery life even while using a High Refresh Rate.
Talking about the exterior of the device, this time the S Pen location has changed to the bottom left of the device with all the buttons at the right side and sim tray at the top. The Dimensions of the device are 161.8 x 75.3 x 8.5 mm, which is roughly the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+. The following dimensions suggest that the display might be somewhere around 6.7-inches. The Note 20+ is expected to come with an even larger display. Some reports even claim it to be 7-inches.
Power & Performance
Note devices have always been known for their performance and productivity. Galaxy Note 20 and the Note 20+ are also going to be the same. The devices are expected to come up with similar specs, running either the Snapdragon 865 in the US and Canadian market with Exynos 990 in the rest.
According to the sources all this is going to be backed up by a 4000 mah battery in Note 20 while the Note 20+ is rumored to have 4500 mah battery and 45-watt fast charging.
As the Samsung Unpacked event is expected somewhere around in August with an online-only event. With all these leaks and rumors, what are your thoughts about the upcoming Note lineup?
