Samsung Galaxy S7 And Galaxy S7edge Leaked Photos And Specs
Samsung has already started sending invitations for its unpacked event of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge which is on February 21 at MWC 2016 Barcelona. And I’ve brought some of the leaked live and render images of Galaxy S7 and S7edge along with some specs leaked from benchmark apps.
If you are expecting huge changes in the design on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge then you might be upset. It seems like Samsung is only making some minor changes in the design of its upcoming flagships.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge will have curve back with metal frame on the side and glass cover on front and back. Samsung Galaxy S7 will have 5.1inch super AMOLED screen with QHD (2,560 x 1,440p) resolution whereas on Samsung Galaxy S7edge we might see 5.7inch super AMOLED curved screen on sides with QHD (2,560 x 1,440p) resolution. Samsung will also throw 3D touch technology on these devices.
Here are some leaked images of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge:
Last year Samsung decided not to go with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and stick with their in-house Exynos processor which was one of the fastest processors last year. But this year Samsung will bring us two variants of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge, one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and the other with Exynos 8890. So we will probably see Exynos 8890 version of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge in Nepal.
Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge will likely to have 4GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB internal storage and microSD card slot (Yeah!!!!) this year. Also, it is now confirmed that Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge will have water resistance feature most probably IP67 rating.
Those days have gone when the iPhone used to have the best camera in the market. Samsung Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6edge, and Galaxy Note 5 proved it wrong by giving one of the best cameras in the mobile industry last year. So this year we can count on Samsung for the next best smartphone camera. And it seems like Samsung is more focusing on making the camera sensor better instead of increasing Camera’s megapixels. Because rumors suggest to us that Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7edge will have a 12MP rear camera with OIS(Optical Image Stabilizer) and f1.7 wide aperture and 5MP front-facing camera. Last year Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6edge had 16MP rear camera with OIS and f1.9 aperture. A new camera on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7edge will still able to record 4k video and might improve picture quality in low light situations.
Update: Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge might come with a 1/2.5″ sensor size camera module. So the combination of lower megapixels (12MP) and bigger image sensor size lead us to great low light performance.
Also, this year’s rear camera on Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge will not protrude as much as it did on last year’s Galaxy S6 and S6edge.
Last year, Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6edge were bombarded with negative reviews and comments from fans and critics for not having a removable battery option and using a smaller capacity battery which resulted in low battery performance on both devices. Rumors are suggesting to us that Samsung is trying to bring a larger capacity battery on both Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7edge this year. Recently leaked document from FCC showed us that Samsung Galaxy S7edge will have a 3600mAh battery whereas recent news from AndroidAuthority suggests that Samsung Galaxy S7 will have 2800mAh non-removable battery.
