Samsung Galaxy S8 And Galaxy S8+ Unveiled

Samsung has just unveiled their new beasts – Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. These two phones gonna blow everyone’s minds as they look gorgeous and feel good on hands. Both the device has stunning design leaving almost no bezels at both edges of the device and has rounded corners on the screen.

Samsung Galaxy S8 sports 5.8 inches Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution.Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S8+ sports 6.2 inches Super AMOLED display with the same resolution as of S8. Corning gorilla glass 5 has been incorporated for the display and back panel protection. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ US model are powered by Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 835 chipset and Adreno 540 GPU. Whereas, The international model is powered by Samsung’s own Exynos 8895 octa-core processor which is on 10nm chip which should help with power consumption.

The device is backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with an expandable option up to 256GB via MicroSD card. The rear camera uses the 12MP Dual Pixel sensor from the Galaxy S7 but with improved software. The front camera is an 8MP shooter that has better Multiframe Processing then its predecessor. The device has an iris scanner which was in Galaxy note 7 and has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. A battery of 3000mAh is packed in Samsung Galaxy S8 likewise, 3500mAh in S8+. Both are sealed and feature Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging, the relatively old Quick Charge 2.0 is also supported. S8 and S8+ both run on Android Nougat 7.0 with Samsung’s own Touch Wiz UI. The flagship duo is waterproof as you would expect (IP68).

Both devices come with Bluetooth 5.0 and USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. The hardware controls below the screen are gone and replaced by pressure-sensitive on-screen buttons. However, a new button did appear which summons Bixby, the digital assistant.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will launch in Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Coral Blue, and Maple Gold. Both the devices will go on sale on April 21 in the US, while European availability is scheduled for April 28. The S8 will cost US$750, while the S8+ is US$850.
