Samsung Nepal has recently launched a budget smartphone “Samsung Z2” at NRS 7,290 in Nepal.
Gadgets in Nepal did check out the handset and it looks pretty good for the price that it’s being offered.
With a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Processor, Samsung Z2 performs pretty smoothly. Samsung has used its own OS Tizen. The UI looks very similar to Samsung TouchWiz skin and is easy to navigate. It sports a 5MP rear camera with Flash and a front VGA camera. It also has 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM, which is good enough to run basic apps and games. Samsung Z2 is powered by a 1500mAh removable battery, which should be good enough to keep your phone ON till long. There is Ultra Power Saving mode if you want some extra juice out of your battery.
On the display side, Samsung Z2 comes with a 4.0inch WVGA(480×800) resolution TFT LCD display. The build also looks fine as it is made out of plastic completely. The Dual Sim Slots and MicroSD card slots are situated back of the device, so you have to remove its back cover to access them. It has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top whereas the Charging port and microphone are located at the bottom. On the connectivity side, it comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3G, and 4G LTE supports.
Tizen OS is improving its range of apps. You will find some of the popular apps in Tizen apps store but still, it lacks many applications and games which are easily available in Google Playstore.
Mr. Pranaya Ratna Sthapit (Head, HHP Division in Samsung Nepal) said: “Samsung Z2 makes relevant to the unique needs of feature phone users and first-time smartphone buyers. It brings consumers a fast and affordable mobile bundled up with powerful hardware & localized features for Nepali consumers.”
