Vivo recently unveiled a new phone – the Vivo V5 primarily targeting the selfie lovers. The new phone was unveiled on Tuesday by Vivo India and is priced at INR 17,980 (NPR.28768).
It may be clear by now that the main highlight of the phone is its front facing camera. It incorporates a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture making one of the best selfie cameras available in a smartphone. Additionally, there is a so called “Moonlight glow” LED flash in the front for improved low light photography. This is one of the few phones available in the market that offers a better front camera compared to the rear camera. The rear camera offers a 13MP sensor with phase detection autofocus.
Rest of the features of the phones are also impressive. It sports a full metal body design and a 5.5’’ IPS LCD display with HD resolution. It’s powered by Mediatek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and has 4GB of RAM. The phone has 32GB inbuilt storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. It comes with a 3000mAH battery, fingerprint sensor and an AK4346 Hi-Fi audio chip.
The company has added a ‘Smart-split’ feature which allows you two use two apps at once. Additionally the phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Funtouch OS 2.6 customizations.
The phone will be available starting November 26 in two color variants: Crown Gold and gray.
