Vivo, one of the major players in the Nepali smartphone market, has launched Vivo V9 in Nepal. The Vivo V9 is the first phone from the manufacturer with the notch on top inspired by the iPhone X, featuring a fullscreen display upfront, as well as a capable AI in the background.
The Vivo V9 features 6.3 inches ( 2280 x 1080 pixels ) display on the front with a 90% screen to body ratio and a notch on top. The screen is vivid provides the user with an immersive experience from watching videos to playing games. Under the hood, the V9 runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 626 (2.2GHz octa-core processor) with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory onboard, which can be expanded up to 256GB.
Speaking of the cameras, the smartphone features a 16MP + 5MP f/2.0 dual camera setup on the rear for the bokeh effect. On the front, the V9 packs a massive 24MP shooter, which is more than capable of taking good selfies. According to the company, both the cameras feature AI which allows the cameras to detect age, sex, skin tone as well as skin texture and adjust the lighting in accordance with the environment.
The Vivo V9 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with Vivo’s home-baked Funtouch OS 4.0 on top of it. The company also claims that the smartphone is powered by AI which ensures the best performance by optimizing and supporting the background tasks.
