Xiaomi Announced Redmi 8A Dual and Fast Charging Power banks
Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi has launched a new device, the Redmi 8A Dual, along with the introduction of Redmi Power banks. As the name suggests, the Redmi 8A Dual is an upgrade over the Redmi 8A launched in the previous year. The upgrade you are getting here is that of the cameras from single to dual sensors in the rear. Another new addition to the device is the “Aura XGrip” design in the rear while also retaining its splash resistance.
Talking about the new features of the device, the main camera is now a dual 13MP and 2MP depth sensor compared to the previous 12MP. The cameras are also equipped AI portrait mode and AI scene detection which will make sure you can get these high-end features in the budget segment as well. For taking selfies, Redmi 8A has an 8MP camera with AI selfie portrait and AI face unlock features.
Similar to the Redmi 8A, this device flaunts a 6.22-inch HD+ display up front and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 equipped with 2/3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. The massive 5000mAh battery also makes a return in addition to the 18W charging as well. The Redmi 8A Dual is priced at INR 6,499 (~NPR 10,398) 2GB/32GB variant and INR 6,999 (~NPR 11,198) for a 3GB/32GB variant in India.
Redmi also introduced two power banks with a capacity of 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh respectively. The 10,000mAH model charges your device at 10W while the 20,000mAh model charges devices at whopping 18W. Both the power banks can charge two devices simultaneously and can be charged up with either micro-USB or USB-TypeC. Price-wise, the 10,000mAh model will be available at INR 799 (~NPR 1278) and 20,000mAh model at INR 1,499 (~NPR 2398).
