Xiaomi Marks Its Official Entry In Nepal With 4 new devices.
At an event held in Soaltee plaza, Xiaomi Officially introduced themselves in Nepal. From the past few years, the official distributors have been taking control of the market of Nepal. Now being here officially Xiaomi company itself will look after the market and the Business plan of Xiaomi in Nepal. The primary complaints of Xiaomi lovers have always been the price. And this time they made their official entry introducing the 4 new devices. The company Introduces Xiaomi Mi A2, Mi A2 Lite, Redmi 6, and Redmi 6A, with a competitive price at a different price level. Xiaomi plans to study the market and bring even more exciting products at an exciting price. But now let’s learn a little bit about these four products.
When the first Android one project device from Xiaomi launched with “Mi A1 as its name it really created an uproar among people. With stock Android experience from Google and great hardware from Xiaomi, it was a hit in the Global market and Nepali Market was no exception. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is the successor to the popular Mi A1. The Mi A2 features an 18:9 aspect ratio 5.99” tall display. Two cameras in the back, Primary 12MP, and Secondary 20MP. On the front, it holds a 20-megapixel selfie camera.
The Xiaomi Mi A2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset under the hood. The phone has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The 7.3 mm thin phone has an aluminum unibody design and comes with a USB Type-C charging port but no Headphone Jack. On the back, it has a fingerprint sensor in the center. It has a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge support. The device has Android 8.1 Oreo with a promise to get Android Pie soon.
MI A2 Lite
You must have already got it from its name, Yes it is a toned-down version of the Mi A2. Don’t get fooled by the looks as the device features a 5.84-inch Notched Display following the Notched Trend. On the performance part, it operates with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset backed up by 3GB or 4GB of RAM with 32GB and 64GB storage respectively.
The Mi A2 Lite also packs a dual-camera setup, a 12MP, and a 5MP combination. The phone also packs a 5MP front shooter. And sitting just below the rear cameras is a fingerprint scanner. The device is fueled up by a large 4000mAh non-removable battery. On the hardware part, this device is the same as the Redmi 6 Pro launched in India. The A2 lite also has Android 8.1 Oreo with a promise to get Android Pie as soon as it is available.
Redmi 6 is the Entry-level smartphone from Xiaomi. The phone comes with a 5.45″ and 18:9 aspect ratio display. Surprisingly the Redmi 6 packs a dual-camera setup with 12MP and a 5MP lens. The front camera is a 5MP lens. The Redmi 6 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset.
The device comes with 3GB of ram only but has a storage option of 32GB and 64GB. The storage can be expanded to 256GB through a dedicated Sd card slot. It packs a 3000mAh battery to support the device. The device has Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9.0 on top.
The Redmi 6A is the lite version of Redmi 6 and the cheapest phone from Xiaomi Nepal. The device is somehow similar to the Redmi 6 with the same 5.45″ 18:9 ratio display. The device has a single 13 MP camera at the back and 5MP in the front for a selfie.
The MediaTek Helio A22 chipset powers the device with support of 2GB of ram. The storage option is limited to 16GB but a dedicated microSD card slot is provided. In the battery part, it also packs a similar 3000 mAh battery. And also has Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9.0 on top.
Price In Nepal
This is what we all have been waiting for, Xiaomi calls it aggressive pricing which we neither agree nor deny. Compared to the pricing done by distributors previously the pricing right now are really good. We hope the company will continue to bring down the price even more with this let’s get to the price. Starting with Mi A2, Xiaomi has priced the 4 GB + 64 GB variant at Rs.30,999/-. The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant is priced at Rs.20,999/-. And the Higher version 4GB Ram/64GB Storage is priced at Rs.24,499/-.
In the context of the Xiaomi Redmi 6 3/32GB and 3/6BGB variants are priced at Rs.16,499/- and Rs.18,499/- respectively. The cheapest among all the Redmi 6A will be priced at Rs.12,999/- for 2GB ram and 16GB storage. All these devices will go on sale starting 30th September 2018 on all offline stores of Xiaomi and Xiaomi partners.
