Android Oreo Update For Mi A1 Suspended Due To Bugs
In December of 2017, the Android 8.0 Oreo update was rolled out for Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. Now, however, the roll-out of the update has been stopped because several users have notified that the update has degraded the performance of the smartphone. A company represented has also revealed a screenshot confirming that the Oreo update has been temporarily halted.
The user complains reveal that the Oreo update has degraded the battery performance of the device. Some complaints also report that the ambient display notification of the device is not working properly as well as there are problems in receiving a call if the display is turned off. Reports suggest that the battery drain issue is associated with the Bluetooth feature of the smartphone.
The Android 8.0 Oreo update for MI A1 was rolled out on December 31 of the previous year and had a size around 1 GB. The update brought with itself the Oreo features like notification channels, notification dots, Picture-in-Picture mode Autofill Framework, Smart text selection and new emojis for the device.
The MI A1 the first Android One smartphone from the Chinese Company. Being Android One device indicates that both Google and Xiaomi will be working on the software of the device and we hope that the problem will be fixed in near future.
