Build quality and Design:
Huawei Y6 Pro comes with a compact body as it comes with a 5.0inch display and has a metal frame that gives a premium feel whereas Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 comes in a large body and matte plastic back cover. Also, Xiaomi has integrated magnesium alloy inside the body frame to make the device stronger. Huawei Y6 Pro comes with a 67.1% screen-to-body ratio which means 67.1% of the total body is covered by a screen. Whereas Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 comes with 71.5% screen-to-body ratio.
Despite the smaller screen and compact size, Huawei Y6 Pro is 1.4mm thicker than Redmi Note 2 as it comes with a large 4000mAh sealed-in battery and weighs the same as Redmi Note 2 i.e 160g. Both smartphones come with excellent build quality and good design. Now it’s up to you whether you want a compact smartphone with a metal frame or a large smartphone with a matte plastic design.
Huawei Y6 Pro and Redmi Note 2 come with IPS panels for good viewing angle but the real differences between both devices are the screen size and resolutions. Huawei Y6 Pro comes with a 5.0inch screen with a resolution of 720×1280 pixels whereas Redmi Note 2 comes with a 5.5inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Redmi Note 2 display is better than Huawei Y6 Pro in terms of contrast, color reproduction, and sharpness. So if you love watching movies and playing games on your smartphone then you are going to love Redmi Note 2.
Huawei Y6 Pro and Redmi Note 2 are using a chipset from the same manufacturing company called Mediatek. But there is a whole different story when it comes to performance. Huawei Y6 Pro uses Mediatek MT6735P Quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 1.3 GHz with Mali-T720MP2 GPU whereas Redmi Note 2 is using Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 Octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz with PowerVR G6200. So with double, the number of cores clocked at higher speed and more powerful GPU, Redmi Note 2 is the clear winner here when it comes to performance.
If you are looking for the best gaming smartphone under a 20k budget in Nepal then Redmi Note 2 is for you. FYI: Mediatek Helio X10 is the same chipset used in other smartphones like HTC One E9+, Sony Xperia M5, and Gionee Elife E8 that cost way expensive than Redmi Note 2.
Redmi Note 2 and Huawei Y6 Pro, both comes with 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. But there are some differences in camera hardware. For example, Huawei Y6 Pro 13MP rear camera comes with f2.0 aperture and normal autofocus technology whereas Redmi Note 2 13MP rear camera comes with f2.2 aperture and phase detection autofocus technology.
This means you can take some better phone with Huawei Y6 Pro at the low light situation because of bigger aperture whereas with Redmi Note 2 you will be able to focus fast on the subject because of phase detection autofocus. Also, Redmi Note 2 can record slo-mo video at 720p resolution.
Now if you are a selfie lover you are going to love Redmi Note 2 as it comes with a larger f2.0 aperture compared to the Huawei Y6 pro smaller f2.2 aperture. This means you will be able to capture better selfies with Redmi Note 2 in the low-light situation compared to the Huawei Y6 pro.

However, Redmi Note 2 can give up to 114hrs of standby time, 46 hrs of music playback, and 7.5 hrs of video streaming.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 comes with an impressive powerful processor at its price range. Also, its big, sharp, and vibrant display makes a perfect device for gaming and watching videos.
