Snapdragon is now focusing on all other platforms. It has announced its two chipsets for Windows laptops among which, one is for the flagship and another one is for the affordable devices that need 5G connectivity. Qualcomm has announced Snapdragon 8cx and 7c+Â for high-end gaming laptops and affordable windows laptops respectively.

Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3
The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 is the high-end offering of chipsets. It is the first 5nm chipset for Windows devices. However, they have kept their hardware components confidential.Â
Qualcomm has stated that the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 has an 85% increase in multi-core performance compared to its legacy version, along with a 60% boost in GPU performance. Moreover, the NPU is upgraded as well to make it 3times greater than the previous version. Along with the performance enhancement, it is also capable of working for 25+ hours straight on a single charge. Similarly the camera and audio quality has also forged ahead. The camera supports 4k HDR video with 24 megapixels along with autofocus, auto white balance, and auto exposure.
 The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 with the Qualcomm® AI Engine delivers 29+ TOPS of powerful acceleration, up to 3 times greater. Qualcomm has worked a lot in improving its security on the Snapdragon 8cx. Secure Processing Unit (SPU) helps ensure your device starts securely. Moreover, it is a Microsoft Secured-core PC capable of the most secure devices out of the box, with Windows Hello face and fingerprint login features to enable secure access.
Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3
To deliver responsive performance, looking after multi-day battery life, and lightning-fast 5G connectivity for an entry-tier experience, Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 is announced. It is specially made for affordable ranged devices.Â
The Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 comes with a 30% more efficient CPU than the competitive platforms in the entry-tier with multi-day battery life to maintain long-lasting performance in cool, quiet, and fan-less laptops. This chipset is reliable with highly secure connectivity and seamless switches between trusted Wi-Fi and 5G networks.
The Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 supports up to 4K HDR camera quality. Also, 7c+ Gen 3 provides support for media-rich, vivid entertainment, and productivity experiences. Hi-Fi Audio and virtual surround sound along with up to 4K HDR video. AI hardware acceleration can adapt to us, and enable enhanced audio, camera, Inking, and Office. It consists of modern security features to help secure our data. It has security integrated into hardware, and software enabling chip-to-cloud security.
