Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S22 series will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in Nepal


Samsung is having its first Unpacked event of the year tomorrow, on the 9th of February, 2022. We all know in this event Samsung will be unveiling its S22 Series of Flagship devices, including Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Along with that we also will be getting S8 series of flagship tablets from Samsung. In this article, let’s have a brief look into the S22 Series, its specifications, and its expected price in Nepal. 

Samsung Galaxy S22 & S22+

Samsung Galaxy S22 is the regular variant, that Samsung has to offer. The device is rumored to feature a relatively small 6.1-inch of Dynamic 2X Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz of refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. While on the plus variant we will be getting a similar quality display but a bit larger in size at 6.6-inches. 

Talking about the camera’s we will have a similar Triple Camera setup on S22 and S22+, with a 50MP f/1.8 Primary Camera, 10MP f/2.4 3X telephoto lens, and a 12MP, 120˚ ultra-wide camera with f/2.2 aperture. While at the front we will be having a 10MP f/2.2 Selfie shooter. The devices will be capable of recording 8K videos at 30fps from the rear camera while the front one will be able to record 4K at 60fps. 

Under the hood this time, Samsung Flagship will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC or Exynos 2200, depending upon your region. Both are flagship SoC with tons of horsepower, we have already seen Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 performance on a few of the Android devices, while the Exynos 2200 with its all-new GPU is yet to be seen. According to the rumors, Both the Galaxy S22 and S22+ will have 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. 

According to our sources, this time in Nepal we will be getting the Snapdragon variant of the Samsung flagship on all three of its model. Along with that, all three models of the devices will be running Android 12 out of the box with Samsung One UI 4.0 on top. Samsung S22+ is rumored to have a 4500mAh battery with 45W fast-charging, while the regular S22 will have 25W charging and a smaller 3700mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is going to be a beast of a device. This time we will also be getting S-Pen support and unlike last time the Pen will be provided along with the device like the Note series of devices. Upfront on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra we will be having a 6.8-inch of QHD+ 10Bit Display with 120Hz of various refresh-rate, HDR10+ support, and 1800 nits of maximum brightness. 

On the performance front, as I already told you, we will be getting Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC in Nepal while in some parts of the world, the device will be launched with Exynos 2200 SoC. Both are 4nm flagship SoC and will be equipped with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5 RAM along with 128GB/256GB/512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device will be running Android 12 with One UI 4.0 on top. 

Talking about the Camera, we have a redesign on the camera bump at the back with a much cleaner look. Talking about the specs, we have a Quad camera setup at the back with 108MP f/1.8 Primary shooter along with 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide, 10MP f/2.4 3X Telephoto Camera, and the last one is a 10MP f/4.0 10X Zoom Persicopic lens. Whereas at the front we have a 40MP, f/2.2 selfie shooter. 

Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will be having a large 5000mAh battery with 45W of fast charging. All three devices will also be able to charge wirelessly and charge other devices via reverse wireless charging.

So, this is everything we know so far about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 Series. These devices will be launching globally on the 9th of February.
