Nokia has been frequently launching budget smartphones and the new Nokia G21 is yet another addition in their G series. The device has some notable upgrades than its predecessor, Nokia G20 with some cut-offs here and there. The device has an HD+ display, a 50MP camera setup, and more. Nokia G21 Overview 

Display and Design 

Upfront Nokia G21 features a 6.5inches of HD+ Display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. It is an HD+ display with a pixel density of 270 PPI. It is a 90Hz display which is an upgrade over its predecessor. Nokia claims that the device can play HD videos on OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime. 

Talking about the design, it’s like any other generic Nokia phone with a plastic frame and plastic back. At the back, we get a triple camera setup with a Nokia branding on the middle. The device weighs around 190gm and has a total thickness of 8.5mm. We get micro-SD card support with a dual sim and it is available in Nordic Blue, Dusk colors.

Nokia G21 is powered by Unisoc Tiger T606 SoC along with Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. It is a 12nm SoC clocked at 1.6Ghz with 2×1.6 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.6 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores. For the memory configuration, we get 4GB LPDDR4X RAM along with either 64GB or 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. 

Software is where Nokia has an advantage over its competition as it likes to stay with Stock Android with few tweaks. Talking about Nokia G21 it is running Android 11 and will be getting 2 Years of Android updates, which means till Android 13. 

Camera

Nokia G21 has a triple camera setup at the back and misses out on an ultra-wide camera that was present on the G20. At the rear, we get a 50MP Primary Camera along with 2MP, each depth, and macro sensor. While we are still unknown about the camera apertures and sensor size.

 Nokia says that it has made improvements in its camera software by including features like the Super Resolution feature that enhances the detail of captured images and it also has a dedicated Night Mode. We still have to see how the camera performs in the real life. On the front, we get an 8MP selfie shooter. The device can capture 1080P videos at 30fps from its front and rear camera setup. 

Battery and Other Features

Nokia G21 has a 5050mAh battery with support for 18W fast-charging with the USB 2.0 Type C port at the bottom. The device features a single bottom-firing speaker and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nokia G21 supports dual-band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.0. The device will be supporting NFC in selected regions.
