With the launch of Redmi K50 Gaming as the first smartphone under the “K50” series, the company is now launching the base model that is the Redmi K50. The device comes with somewhat the same design as the K50 Pro. However, sure does have drastic changes. Here in this article, we will be talking about specs and features along with the expected Redmi K50 price in Nepal.

Design and Display:

The Redmi K50 is featured with 6.67 inches OLED screen also, with support of a 120Hz refresh rate panel. With the large display, you will get a peak brightness of 1200 nits. Likewise, the device features a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels. Further, the device is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Talking about its design, Redmi K50 packs a triple camera setup that comes in a rectangular-shaped box. There is a standard Redmi logo at the bottom side of the back panel. Similarly, at the front, there is a single selfie camera in a punch-hole design. The device is quite heavy as it comes with a weight of 201g and a thickness of 8.5mm.


Talking about performance, Redmi K50 features MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor that is built under 5nm architecture. The 5nm chipset features an octa-core processor with four Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.85 GHz and four Cortex-A55 clocked at 2.0 GHz. Whereas, the graphics of the device is handled by Mali-G610. Likewise, you will get software of the Android 12 operating system with MIUI 13 skin on top. Lastly, three storage variants are available with this device: 128/8GB RAM, 256/8GB RAM, and 256/12GB RAM.


Moving on to the camera, Redmi K50 features a triple camera setup where the main camera is a 48 MP wide-angle lens that also supports OIS. Supporting the main camera, there is an 8 MP ultrawide camera along with an angle view of 119˚. Completing the triple camera setup, there is a 2 MP, f/2.4 aperture macro lens. The main camera can record videos up to 4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60/120fps, and 720p@960fps.


At the front, there is a 20 MP single selfie camera in a punch-hole design that can record videos upto 1080p@30/120fps.

Other features:

The Redmi K50 is featured with a 5500 mAh battery also, supports fast-charging up to 67W. There is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner placed with the power button. You get other sensors like an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, and a color spectrum.

As we know, Redmi K50 is now officially announced along with the Redmi K50 Pro. The starting price of this device is CNY 2,399 for the 8/128GB storage variant whereas the 12/256GB variant costs CNY 2,799 in China. We can expect the device to arrive in the Nepali market later and when it does, the expected Redmi K50 price in Nepal is Rs 45599.
