Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note Pro+ 5G in India, making the series more confusing

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G in India. The device is very similar to the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 11 Pro Series. Today we will be having a brief look at the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro+ along with their features and specifications and also their expected price in Nepal.

Design and Display 

On the Design aspect, we find both the devices to be exactly similar with 8.1mm of thickness and weight at 202gm. We get Glass Back at the back along with the quad camera setup while the front is protected with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. 

Talking about the front panel, we get 6.67 inches of Super AMOLED display on both their devices. It is an FHD+ panel with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. These high refresh rate displays are HDR10 certified and have max brightness up to 1200 nits. We get a Hybrid Dual SIM Slot, IP 53 rating, and stereo speakers on both Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+. 

Performance & Software

This is the segment where we can see any major difference between the two devices. Starting with the Redmi Note 11 Pro, we get 12nm MediaTek Helio G96 octa-core SoC with 2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. While on the Note 11 Pro+ 5G we are treated with a 6nm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC with 2×2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver CPU cores with Adreno 619 GPU. This is the same SoC that we saw on Realme 9 Pro and also on Vivo T1.

We get 6GB/8GB RAM on both of the devices with 64GB/128GB and 256GB storage variants. On the software side of things, both of the devices are running Android 11 and MIUI 13 out of the box. 

Camera 

We get the same camera setup on the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G with a Quad camera setup at the back consisting of a 108MP f/1.9, Primary Camera along with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP each depth and macro sensor. While at the front we get a 16MP shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. On the video recording side of things, we get support for 1080P videos at 30fps from both front and rear camera setup. 

Battery and other Specifications 

We get a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support on both Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. The good thing is we get the full capacity fast charger in the box. Both the devices are packed with Fingerprint (side-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass sensors along with Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1.

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G Price & Availability 

Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G are announced in India today. The Redmi Note 11 Pro starts at INR.17,999 for the 6+128GB variant and the Note 11 Pro+ 5G starts at INR.20,999 for the 6GB+128GB variant. If launched in Nepal we expected the price of Redmi Note 11 Pro to start at NPR.30,000 and the price of Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G to start at NPR.35,000.
