Reasons behind Redmi Note 8 success in Nepal?
One of the major factors behind Redmi Note 8 success is its price. Xiaomi Nepal priced it so well that there was no competition for Redmi Note 8 in the market, both under 20000 and 25000 price segment. Redmi Note 8 also offers great features like Corning Gorilla Glass 5, 48MP Quad-camera setup, premium-looking design, and splash-proof body, which no other smartphone brands are offering under Rs.20000 budget segment.
IDC report has also shown us that Nepalese consumers are slowly shifting toward value for money devices rather than running after the brand name (Cough: Samsung), at least on the budget segment. Also, Nepalese consumers’ budget to spend on a smartphone has also gone up.
Not only in Nepal, but Xiaomi is also doing great in the global smartphone market too. Xiaomi is in 4th place in the global smartphone market according to Counterpoint analysis. We hope Xiaomi Nepal will also launch its new Redmi Note 9 series at a good price in Nepal. If you want to check out which are the best smartphones we recommend, please check the link below.
