Although the Redmi Note 9 series has been a massive hit in most countries, China was yet to receive it. After the launch event yesterday, Xiaomi launched the series in the Chinese market with a bang.Â
Xiaomi officially launched Note 9 trios- Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 9 5G, and the Redmi Note 9 4G. Although the 9 series is priced similarly to the Note 8 series from last year, the Note 9 series comes with massive upgrades.
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G
Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G features a 6.67-inch LCD with a 1080p+ resolution featuring a punch-hole design. The main feature attracting the customer is its display supporting 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. The adaptive display offers six different refresh rates from 30Hz to 120HZ.
The Note 9 Pro 5G is fueled by a Snapdragon 750 G chipset complemented by a 6/8GB RAM. And to take the performance to the next level, note 9 Pro features of the three-dimensional liquid cooling system. The phone used a UFS 2.2 storage, which Xiaomi claims to be twice as fast as the UFS 2.1 used in the previous models.
The phone’s main selling point might be its primary camera, the world’s first third-generation 108 MP camera sensor. Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G sports a Quad camera setup with a 108 MP Samsung HM2 sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. For the selfie, the phone features a 16MP sensor.
Talking about endurance, the phone features a 4,820 mAh battery. The phone supports a 33W fast charger, charging the battery from 0 to 100 in just 58 minutes.

Redmi Note 9 5G
The Redmi Note 9 5G comes with a similar design as the pro model. The phone features a slightly smaller 6.5 3 inch LCD with a 1080p+ resolution supporting a standard refresh rate.Â
In terms of performance, this phone is filled by a MediaTek dimensity 800U chipset. Xiaomi claims the chipset to be twice as fast as the previous Redmi Note 8. Like the pro model, this phone also comes with UFS 2.2 storage.
The camera has been dropped down to a 48MP sensor, unlike the 108MP seen in the pro model. The phone features a triple camera setup with an additional 8mp ultra-wide lens and 2MP macro lens complementing the primary camera. The camera can still record 4K videos, but it is only limited to 30fps. The selfie camera comes with a 13MP sensor, which can shoot videos up to 1080p.
The phone comes with a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery. Although the charging speed has been dropped down to 18W, the retail package includes a 22.5W charger.

Redmi Note 9 4G
The cheapest phone out of the three is the Redmi note 9 4G. The display is similar to the 5G model, with a 6.53-inch LCD supporting 1080p+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. Unlike the other models, this phone gets a notch display instead of a punch-hole.
Talking about the performance, Redmi Note 9 4G is fueled by a Snapdragon 662 chipset. The storage is UFS2.2 like the 5G models, but the RAM starts at 4GB.Â
Like its 5G model, this phone also features a triple camera setup with a primary camera of 48MP. Similarly, you get an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor. But unlike the other models, the video recording is limited to 1080p at 30fps. For the selfie, you get an 8MP camera.Â
The best part of this phone is its biggest battery of 6000mAh, and despite the massive battery, the phone still weighs just under 200g. Like the 5G model, this phone also supports an 18W fast charger.
