Samsung galaxy has announced recently in their community blog post, that the galaxy series S22 will be getting new august camera updates. The series will include Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. All of their cameras will be released and updated with much more improvements. The Samsung galaxy s22 series reputed for its powerful camera and function features was released earlier this year in February.
Earlier, in June 2022, Samsung had also a June update that focused and improved the natural sharpness and contrast of the wide-angle (primary) camera. Those improvements are now coming to telephoto and ultrawide cameras on the Galaxy S22 series. The South Korean firm also claims to improve the colours and exposure (of dark areas) in the Night mode.
Now in the current august camera updates, let’s look at what the Samsung series S22 has brought for us:
1. Improved QR code scanning
Samsung has improved, the QR code scanner by making it bigger, improving the speed for QR code scanning from the Quick Panel. You can now tap on a QR code inside a document and force the camera app to scan it. If the camera scans a QR code from a document, users can choose to cancel it, and tap to scan it again if they wish. however, the stock camera cannot scan the QR code again once the first scan is dismissed.
2. Hyper lapse mode
Now, all the 3x telephoto cameras can also capture videos in hyper-lapse mode. Previously, this feature was limited to the primary and ultrawide cameras. The company is also working on an “Astronomical Hyperlapse” mode that is currently under development. So we are expecting, this feature to gradually arrive in the series as well.
3. Improved HDR performance, night mode, and AI engine
Samsung claims to have an optimized engine and AI engine when using the Photo, Night, and Video modes. The improved HDR performance and AI engine will support the photo mode as well as the video quality. The color and darkness of images in Night mode have also been improved with the new update. Again, the company is also working on improving the ultra-low light mode with AI learning.
