It is an HDR10+ certified panel with a peak brightness of 1200+ nits. With a pixel density of 425 PPI and a resolution of 1080 x 2640 pixels, the display is pretty sharp for consuming content. Being a 120Hz panel it supports an adaptive refresh rate, so the display automatically adjusts itself depending upto the content displayed.

Larger Cover Screen
Compared to last year’s Z Flip, the cover display is much larger and usable this time. On the cover display, we have 1.9 inches of Super AMOLED Display with a pixel density of 260 x 512 pixels. The Cover display and the back are protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus. The cover screen supports Always on Display with various customizable widgets for your choice from weather to music controls and more. You can even check your emails and notifications from the cover display whereas for replying to them you have to unfold the device.

More Durable with an IP Rating
Due to the fact that the Z Flip series olds vertically, people had concerns about its durability but with this iteration of the Z Flip Samsung has improved the durability of their foldable devices. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus along with that we get an aluminum frame all around the device giving it a much sturdy feel. Talking about the hinge, according to Samsung, the device can handle being folded and unfold around 200,000 times.
Emitting all the major upgrades for durability is that the Z Flip 3 comes with an IP rating. Here we get an IPX8 rating for waterproofing. This means the device can withstand 1.5 meters of liquid pressure for 30 minutes without any damage. So no need to worry about small splashes of water or rain. The company claims that the new Galaxy Z Flip 3 is 80% more durable than its predecessor. It uses Samsung’s Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) along with a panel layer and protective film.

Using Flex mode while using the camera app, lets you use the base as a stand while capturing images or videos, while using it on the gallery, you can use the base as a mouse pad/cursor while viewing images on the gallery. Google Duo, YouTube, and a bunch of Samsung apps support Flex mode natively. While for the GPU we have Adreno 660 GPU. Along with this, we get 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. With all these specs, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 can handle anything you throw at it. We even did the thermal throttling test and the device performed well in that too. After intensive power demanding tasks, the device might heat a bit but overall it’s a powerful performer.
