Last year we saw India ban PUBG under Section 69A of the Information technology Act. According to the Govt, the game was engaged in activities against the sovereignty and integrity of the defense and security of the country.
Not just India, many countries had banned PUBG due to the game being too addictive and the users’ deteriorating health, and there were claims of the game promoting violence.
We don’t know about other countries but looking at the huge gaming fanbase in India, the developers, KRAFTON, are back in India with a similar Battlegrounds Mobile India, which is exclusive to India.
